As Forensic Architects we have experience in understanding symptoms and tracking down causes. We are sensitive to the building concept, to the materials, and to costs of the design elements. We understand the way building should act when constructed and that it is critical, (e.g., roofing systems, rainscreens, vapor and air barriers, wall drainage cavities, barrier walls, sealants, insulation, dewpoints, thermal bridging, and joints of all kinds).

Also, as a forensic architect we are hired as a construction administrator. We sometimes engage as a shadow construction troubleshooter, hired by the building owner or project agent. We function as a member of the construction team, taking part in all discussions, and help with the ongoing understanding of how the project program and documents are interpreted, and recommend construction direction. Therefore, issues during construction will be resolved in the context of contracts, code review, manufacturer standards, design / CDs, and budget. This will expedite the construction with less conflicts, saving time and money for both the owner and the contractor.

Our team is degreed and licensed professionals that deliver expert project trouble shooting, functional design solutions and efficient construction systems (i.e.SIPs) with a focus on professional permit acquisition. We expand your expectations for your home or business with clearly defined functional plans for smart cost control and efficient permit acquisition.
