Knauf-Koenig Group, LLC

Since 1985 Gisela Koenig had been coming to Naples with her family. Little did she know that 20 years later she would call it her permanent home and start Knauf-Koenig Group with her husband, Matt Knauf. As co-owner, Gisela oversees the financial side of things as the Chief Financial Officer and is a vital part in managing the daily business operations.

Growing up in northeast Ohio, Gisela attended the University of Mount Union where she attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. She took that knowledge and worked for some of the top companies including Heinz, JP Morgan, and Lockheed Martin. In 2006 Gisela moved to Naples with Matt, formed Knauf-Koenig Group, and has since welcomed two beautiful daughters to their world.

With a lifetime of construction experience and 20 years of experience building custom luxury homes, Matt Knauf has become one of the leading custom home builders in Naples. As the co-owner of Knauf-Koenig Group, Knauf works closely with each client to make sure that all of the project needs and goals are being met. Knauf leads the Project Team on each home, every step of the way, exceeding the owners’ expectations. His hands-on approach, dedication, and commitment to every project is what sets Matt apart from all other custom home builders. 

Knauf started his construction career in western Pennsylvania. As a union carpenter, he worked his way up to superintendent and onto becoming a Project Manager for residential, commercial, and institutional projects throughout Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. His knowledge and passion for construction lead him to Naples, where he founded Knauf-Koenig Group alongside his wife and Chief Financial Officer, Gisela Knauf.
