Scope Of Work
Classic Site Solutions, Inc. completed the interior demolition and renovation of a 25,000-square-foot, third floor office space for the Transportation Security Agency (TSA). The General Services Administration (GSA) was responsible for overseeing renovation of the space that is owned by the Massachusetts Port Authority (MPA). Critical to the project was a system of open and continuous communication between the agencies, architect, subcontractors, and Classic.
To accommodate the needs of the TSA, the project was fast tracked. New partitions, finishes, electrical service, life safety systems, and MEP modifications were installed ahead of schedule to allow the TSA early occupancy and use of the area prior to completion. A special data, communications, and security room was also built out.
Several changes were made during the project to create a more efficient and user-friendly space. Classic teamed with the architect, subcontractors, and agencies to keep the project schedule on track and facilitate changes without delay. The project was completed successfully in four months.
