Scope Of Work

The Microelectronics Research Center (MRC) at Georgia Institute of Technology was established through the work of Joseph Pettit in 1981. The Pettit facility houses state of the art clean room space, equipment, offices, labs and is dedicated to research laboratories. The Pettit Building is located on the Tech Campus in downtown Atlanta.

Synergy was assigned to oversee the rigorous renovation of the Pettit Lab classrooms 150,164, and 244. As an educational institution with classes in progress, our main focus was safety, having a secure site with minimal noise disturbance. We maintained a quiet jobsite by scheduling our daily activities with faculty and staff as well as completing loud activities before or after hours. The project scope included interior classroom fit outs, upgrades, lead and asbestos abatement, complete lab retooling and restoration. 

?Synergy provided all general contracting services which included self-performing most of the drywall, ceiling, and miscellaneous carpentry. We worked directly with Georgia Tech in-house IT and security team to ensure that the labs were in compliance with the institution's specifications and requirements.
