Allison Schmitt's Bio
Now a Principal and adviser to DI, Allison formerly served as DI’s Chief Financial Officer, where her responsibilities included financial reporting and management, project accounting, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, managing banking and audit relationships, income and tax compliance and other complicated numbers.
During her career she has accomplished: putting a formal job cost system in place which measures each capability’s profits, established budgets, managed yearly growth while remaining debt free, developed KPI’s, and flourished by starting new entities and divisions. Allison’s support enables all departments of the company to excel with better bottom-line results.
Allison’s other official roles at DI have included managing DI’s HR and IT teams. She oversees compliance, compensation, benefits, hiring, training and retention of employees with a strong focus on work-life balance, leadership development, and and entrepreneurship. She also oversee’s DI’s growing in-house IT team.
Allison was recognized in 2017 as one of the CFO’s of the Year by the Kansas City Business Journal. She holds degrees in both finance and economics from the University of Kansas. And in her spare time, Allison works on her riding skills with her horses and spends time with her son and two daughters.

With nearly 20 years experience in communicating and developing meaningful projects with clients, Justin Wood brings an unparalleled range of experience to Dimensional Innovations as the Sports Practice Director.
Justin feeds his passion for developing matchless, engaging experiences for clients by focusing on dynamic environments primarily in the sports and entertainment industries. For the last five years, Justin has led the charge on building DI’s sports portfolio through developing sponsorship activations, halls of fame and branding experiences.
His leadership in projects help sports brands improve the fan experience by connecting their story to the interactive and physical environments. With over fifteen years of experience at DI, Justin’s resume also boasts seven years of running his own design-build consulting company.
Justin’s portfolio of projects has appeared in multiple sports market publications, and he has presented at ALSD, SEGD’s Dynamic Environments series and at multiple Sports Business Journal workshops. Justin was named as an SBJ Power Player in 2020.

Kevin Istas's Bio
As President of Dimensional Innovations Build (DI BUILD), Kevin Istas leads all the Design Build and Disaster Recovery Services. With over 30 years of experience, his professional history reflects a lifelong career in the construction industry with progressive experience through the industry ranks culminating in my current management role.
Kevin’s career has provided incredible exposure in several facets of commercial construction, specifically project management, disaster recovery management, and contract management. He has a sustained reputation and proven record of customer satisfaction, repeatedly exceeding project goals and expectations, honoring commitments, achieving bottom-line financial goals, ensuring informed communications, and delivering high profile products under very tight schedules. With degrees in both Construction Management and Economics, combined with several professional accreditations, he is respected in the industry for his ability to deliver projects in today’s challenging business environment and is considered an expert in many facets of construction management, means and methods.
Steve Nelson's Bio
As Chief Operating Officer at Dimensional Innovations, Steve brings two decades worth of extensive experience managing and supervising large-scale operations. In this role, he oversees several teams and their processes for bringing remarkable projects to life for clients across the country. He also works to recognize the incredible efforts of employees by being an advocate for their internal experience and growth at DI.
Prior to joining DI, Steve led the Harley-Davidson assembly plant in Kansas City, where he managed over 1,000 people for one of the biggest and most respected brands in the world. Before his lengthy and successful tenure at Harley-Davidson, Steve started his career in operations management with a national retailer.
Steve has always been engaged in helping companies work through transformative changes leading to continuous improvements in process, operations, and communications. He is a champion for the employee experience and works to build dynamic and collaborative teams. Steve has earned a Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and follows a Kaizen approach to management.
When Steve isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, twin daughters, and son. Together they plan adventures to the coasts and national parks. He is also an active skateboarder and cyclist that loves to push himself to learn and grow outside (and inside) of the office.

Tom brings this experience, coupled with a Big 4 consulting background, to help DI’s clients find solutions that deliver unique value to customers, stakeholders and employees.

As Executive Project Manager, Brian directly leads projects and/or teams of Project Managers. In nearly five years at DI, Brian has managed several of our most complex and detailed projects to successful completion. Prior to DI, he managed over 300 capital projects in a variety of manufacturing industries over a 10 year span. He specializes in providing clients with superior experience through his leadership, careful planning, and open communication skills while keeping a laser focus on the client’s goals.
Brian received his Project Management (PMP) Certification, and continues to improve his skills through experience.
He has worked closely with several of Dimensional Innovations’s sports, corporate and sponsorship clients and maintains great and long-standing relationships. He truly believes collaboration is vital to achieving remarkable experiences.

Alex Divine's Bio
Alex is focused on listening and understanding the needs of his clients in order to build teams that solve problems and create remarkable experiences. Alex has 8 years of client leadership experience and brings a strong understanding of client service and account management to each project, and makes sure his clients' goals stay center-focus. He has a unique ability to anticipate problems and develop solutions quickly, while building trust with his clients and project partners.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys spending his time exploring the mountains of Colorado with his wife and two dogs. Additionally, Alex is a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and coaches classes several nights per week.

Bess graduated from the University of Kansas with bachelors and masters degrees in special education as well as an interior design degree from Johnson County Community college.
In the few hours you don’t find her at her desk or on the phone, Bess likes to watch just about any sport, travel (she’s backpacked all over Europe) and spend time with her dog.
