Healthcare can be notoriously synonymous with “complicated and uncomfortable,” so how do you change the way patients interact with your healthcare system and make them feel at ease and welcome? Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) has developed a solution in Spira Care, a combined primary care and insurance offering for Blue KC members, a first of its kind in the Kansas City .
Spira Care is not what you would expect out of a doctor’s office. The new approach to healthcare along with the comforting, non-intimidating nature of the design makes for a very positive experience, one that patients want to come back to.
Spira Care began as just two locations in Olathe and Shawnee, Kansas, but the response has been so overwhelmingly positive that in 2019 Spira Care will expand to Missouri with three new care centers.
Dimensional Innovations was brought on by partners Blue KC, Barkley, an integrated marketing agency, Helix Architecture + Design, and Pulse Design Group to bring the space to life—fabricating and installing the final designs. Centric served as the general contractor.
