Scope Of Work
Relining of approximately 2,321 lineal feet of 67” pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP)
This project was an expedited Design-Build project that included the relining of approximately 2,321 lineal feet of 67” pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe (PCCP) with new welded steel pipe, which included all 3 barrels of the San Diego Aqueducts to be individually relined beneath the I-15 freeway. The pipeline relining required the installation of pipe through very sharp bends (30-degrees). In order to traverse these sharp bends special equipment was fabricated to efficiently lay and fit-up the pipe in these pipe sections. The project also included the installation of air vacuum valves, portal excavations, sound walls, patrol road construction and appurtenant work.
