Scope Of Work

The Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing (NHWSN) at Emory University is expanding its footprint and renovating 70,000 square feet in Decatur, Ga. to become the Emory Nursing Learning Center. The $20.6M expansion will include a state-of-the-art simulation and skills lab, which will provide experiential and immersive learning for students, and the Emory Nursing Experience, a program for continuing professional education in partnership with Emory Healthcare Nursing.

The Emory Nursing Learning Center will act as a hub for students and Emory Healthcare nurses. The school anticipates enrollment of 1,400 by 2025, making the extra room vital for developing skills and practicing procedures. The new center features dozens of cutting-edge spaces, including several in the Simulation and Clinical Skills Lab —a high-fidelity operating room, a high-fidelity labor and delivery room, high-fidelity simulation rooms and the Home Care Lab—as well as the Studio media center, classrooms, student common areas, offices, conference rooms, and others. When finished, the Simulation and Clinical Skills Lab will be the largest simulation center in Metro Atlanta.
