Our Story

Muellermist Irrigation Company was founded in 1928 and later incorporated in 1932 as an Illinois corporation. Muellermist originally did landscaping work, and began to install irrigation systems in the Chicago area in 1928. During the 1930's Muellermist began installing commercial irrigation systems. The commercial irrigation work has led to a number of highly visible installations including the irrigation system for Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., and the irrigation system at the U.S. Airforce Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Additionally, Muellermist has installed irrigation systems for many golf courses, and athletic stadiums for such sports as football, baseball, and soccer. One of the largest single installations was the sprinkler system for a 210 acre office park owned by Ameritech in Hoffman Estates, Illinois which was approximately $1,500,000. Commercial applications include such accounts as retail stores, insurance companies and other businesses.

Muellermist provides maintenance and repair services to all of Illinois. Service is provided for residential and commercial irrigation systems.
