Beatrice Cook's Bio
Beatrice L. Cook, CDA
Principal / Finance / Human Resource Director
Bea is a Certified Design Accountant responsible for the areas of finance, human resources, and administrative management.
In addition, she has been recognized for her active participation in the Society of Design Administration (SDA), on which she has served as the first President of the Delaware Chapter and as a National Board member.
Bea has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Wilmington University.
David Spangler's Bio
Dave brings mechanical engineering experience on a wide range of commercial, industrial, and educational projects to StudioJAED. His industrial experience includes hazardous production area ventilation and laboratory ventilation. His educational experience includes Indoor Air Quality remediation and a wide range of HVAC system applications, as well as life cycle costing analysis. In addition, Dave has participated in the management and assessment of nearly all of StudioJAED's nationwide facilities management assessment projects. Dave has a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree and a Master of Business Administration degree, both from the University of Delaware.
Edward Lupinek's Bio
Ed is the Senior Cost Estimator at StudioJAED. He offers more than 21 years of experience in construction estimating and project management. He has experience working for large construction companies managing, estimating, purchasing and negotiating on their behalf.
Ed's most recent experience was the Managing Architecture Program Manager for Red Clay Consolidated School District in Delaware and the City of Providence Public Schools in Rhode Island where he oversaw over $800 million worth of projects in the last 10 years.
He has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Professional Estimator.
James Hutchison's Bio
Jim Hutchison, President of StudioJAED, has been with the firm since 1978.
Jim’s experience includes project management of many master planning projects, renovation/new construction projects, assessment projects, as well as design of many mechanical engineering projects.
He is has been a presenter at numerous conferences nationwide regarding energy efficient design, space planning, and assessment.
Jim is regularly consulted regarding Title 29 and State Code requirements by other designers as he has personally been involved in over 300 projects in Delaware over the last five years.
