Winkler’s Excavating & Grading was founded by Kent
Winkler Sr in
1985. Kent had been involved in the dirt and demo
industry since the late 50s with
the likes of Meads House
Wrecking and Jones Excavating. In the late 80s. Mac Jones
let it
be known that he was on his way out and finally going to retire. This
was the
green light Kent needed to solidify his dream of running
his own grading and
demolition business. It wasn’t long before
Winkler’s had secured a better portion of
the LAUSD projects
with several general contractors. This went on for the next 25
years until it was time for Kent Sr to start enjoying the good life he
had earned. In
2015, Kent Winkler II “Butch” decided it was time
to venture away from a
partnership he had formed in 2001 “Knight
Demolition Services” and step in to the
family owned business.
In doing so he brought with him mostly all new clientele
steering away from the complexity of LAUSD projects. With 30 plus
years of hands on
concrete cutting and demolition experience
under his belt he brought something
different to the
table.

a full-service general engineering
and demolition company
providing excavating, grading, concrete cutting & coring,
interior
demolition, abatement and full site clearing. W.E.G.
prides themselves on return customers
and with a healthy list of
satisfied general contractors, it seems to be working.
