Alton E. Darling Construction, Inc.

As a small boy, Alton Darling knew just what he wanted to do in life. He wanted to be a carpenter. Alton Darling started in the construction business in 1963 working for Church Hill Lumber Co. He started from the bottom and worked his way up. On October 13, 1975 he achieved the American dream opening his own business in Barclay Md. 

In 1984 Alton Jr. began helping his father, working in the field doing whatever he was able to do learning the trade along the way. He moved quickly from helper, to carpenter, to foreman, to project manager and salesman. 

In 1996 Alton moved the company office and shop where it is currently, just south of Chestertown Md.
