Scope Of Work
This project was a large-scale undertaking that aimed to alleviate traffic congestion on the pertinent freeways. It involved designing, building, operating, and maintaining ExpressLanes on Interstate 10 (San Bernardino Freeway/ El Monte Busway) and Interstate 110 (Harbor Transitway). LIN Consulting, a subconsultant on the project, is assisting the prime firm in converting existing HOV lanes to toll ExpressLanes, improving roadway infrastructure, and enhancing transit services and facilities. Specific tasks include: preparing roadway lighting, electrical, and power drop plans; designing fiber optic plans within the Caltrans right-of-way for the toll system; and handling the design of a Ramp Metering System (RMS). LIN Consulting is also charged with preparing traffic signals, temporary traffic signals, street lighting, signing/striping, and worksite traffic control plans for the Cities of Los Angeles, El Monte, Hawthorne, and San Gabriel.
