Chad Hillman, General Superintendent, started with Blazer Building in 1999 and has broad based experience in all phases of multifamily construction process. Mr. Hillman has served as general superintendent and has overseen the construction of nearly 4,000 units through Houston and Central Texas.

Mr. Hillman oversees all of Blazer’s field construction activities and staffs our projects with clerks, superintendents, and assistant superintendents. Mr. Hillman also establishes project delivery schedules from dirt work to completion and has successfully brought numerous projects in under budget and ahead of schedule.

Chris Richardson, President, has built a team of experienced, knowledgeable and driven staff members with decades of experience  beginning the company in 1978. Following on his passion for the business, the Blazer team focuses relentlessly on delivering quality in all phases of a project from pre-construction through . Blazer’s goal is employing a forward-thinking approach to meeting our ’ needs and challenges.

Jim Wanja, Vice President, has spent roughly half of his 33 year construction career with Blazer. Mr. Wanja’s commercial and residential construction experience includes ground-up design and development as well as comprehensive rehabilitation programs. Mr. Wanja has managed the construction of virtually all types of real estate including, garden and mid-rise multi-family, tract and custom single-family homes, and industrial and office properties.

Matt Fuqua, Vice President, Development, has spent almost 20 years with Blazer assembling a multifaceted resume of construction industry experience. Mr. Fuqua assists private owners and developers with researching and locating developable land tracts, negotiating purchase contracts and liaises between all involved parties. Since starting with Blazer, Mr. Fuqua has overseen the construction and development of more than 3,000 apartment homes across the State of Texas.

Jennifer Casto, Accounting & Treasury, joined the Blazer Building team in 2013.  She is responsible for accounting, reporting, and treasury services, and has over 15 years of experience in the field of accounting.  Prior to joining Blazer, Ms. Casto spent three years in public accounting and eight years in managerial accounting for real estate as well as non-real estate companies

Nathan L. Kelley, Vice President, Finance & Development, is responsible for the development efforts of the company, capital markets, portfolio asset management, investor reporting and risk management.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Since joining Blazer in 2012, Nathan’s Capital Markets responsibilities include the structuring and origination of debt and equity capital for new developments and the recapitalization of existing developments. Nathan’s experience includes transactions involving private and institutional equity, as well as bank, agency, HUD, and CMBS debt. He has also facilitated the disposition of numerous developments. Nathan has also been instrumetal in improving the operating performance of Blazer’s more than 3,900 unit portfolio.
