Our Story

Three brothers committed to creative wetland construction problem solving while maintaining a high level of service and client satisfaction!

BCI Contracting is an owner operated company, controlled by three brothers committed to a high level of service and client satisfaction. Our success stems from a strong work ethic, high standards, and excellent communication with project managers and stakeholders. Creative wetland construction problem solving is attained through experience and a willingness to work outside the box to find cost effective solutions to compressed in water schedules and construction in the most challenging wetland environments.

BCI has specialized in in water, wetland construction for 20 years.

Since the early 90’s we have been stabilizing and enhancing stream corridors. In 1995 BCI completed the Forest Heights storm water structures, ($500,000.00).  This stabilization of stream corridors represents one of our early collaborations with design engineers to implement natural designs over traditional synthetic approaches.  We successfully replaced two gabion weir structures with log jam weirs. In 2000, BCI completed the Rambler-Bohman Stream Enhancement Project for Clean Water Services. This project was a showcase of utilization of adaptive construction techniques, symbiotic contractor/owner partnering and community integration. Rambler-Bohman has been recognized nationally and is indicative of what BCI brings to every project.

David, Drew and Dan Porter have managed every project and been recognized for excellence by the City Of Portland and the City Of Corvallis for professionalism, craftsmanship, and quality.

BCI has constructed wetland enhancements from swales to rivers and from small bank stabilizations to complete re-routing of rivers.

“Our clients have included Corvallis, ODOT, Redmond, private developers, Clean Water Services (USA), and many other cities and utility districts. Every client is important to us; and every project an opportunity to better our environment…Our journey has been a great one!”
David Porter – BCI President
