Our Story

The Southern California District Council of Laborers (SCDCL) is a chartered council of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA). LIUNA represents over 500,000 members throughout 12 counties of Southern California and the states of Arizona and New Mexico and West Texas. The SCDCL partners with public and private entities, elected officials, community groups, and responsible contractors to build and maintain the infrastructure needs of communities throughout California while providing residents a career in the construction industry.

Representatives of the SCDCL and its affiliated Local Unions and are industry professionals dedicated to helping deliver projects on schedule and for the best price. No matter what the issue is, every LIUNA affiliate from the Local Union to the SCDCL to the LIUNA Headquarters in Washington, DC, will work with you to get the job done.
