Jason Chio's Bio
Jason’s career in construction started at an early age working on weekends for his father in a family owned steel erecting and rigging company. After high school he began working for the family business part time while attending college at The Ohio State University/Agricultural Technical Institute where he received an Associates’ Degree in Construction Technology. Following college he worked his way up through the ranks of the construction field starting at the bottom and eventually working his way up to Crew Foreman. After about 10 years working in the field he moved into the office where he has held numerous jobs such as estimator, operations manager, account manager and ultimately to vice president. In 2014, he was approached by the MIELKE team about merging his steel erection company with their flourishing mechanical construction company and M.W. MIELKE Industrial Constructors was born. Currently, as President of MIELKE Constructors and his day to day activities are focused on customer development, estimating and sales. Jason is known around the office for his engaging personality and his vast knowledge of the construction industry.
Jason has served on the boards of the Associated Builders and Contractors at both the North Florida Chapter, as well as, Northern Ohio where he spent two years as chairman. He has also served nationally for ABC on their nominations committee and on the Metal Building Council in which he served as chair. In 2014, he turned his focus more local and ran and was elected to the Hillsdale Local Schools Board of Education and in 2015 was appointed to the Ashland County–West Holmes Career Center.
When Jason is not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys. He and his family attend the Jeromesville United Methodist church. A big part of his personal time is spent giving back to the community he lives in which he does through his church, scouting and the local schools.
