Starting as far back as the late 1800s, Construction has always been in the blood of the Thomas name. Hans Johnson, Perry's great grandfather, started a construction company in the San Gabriel Valley and the contracting legacy was born. Both Perry's father and grandfather made successful careers for themselves in the underground business for most of their lives. And following the tradition of his ancestors, Perry has followed suit. Beginning from the days as a young boy, Perry was always working with his dad around the house, or by going to work with him.
Out of High School, Perry went to work for Fricke Construction were his dad was employed. By doing so, it furthered his education in the business of underground utilities at a young age. It didn't take long for Perry to realize that he was born do things on his own. Soon, Perry went out on his own as a freelance operator with his own backhoe and dump truck known as Thomas Equipment Rentals. Doing odd jobs here and there, and occasionally working for Fricke Construction, was good for a while.
In 1989, Fricke Construction decided to close its doors and Perry saw his opening to expand his business. Because of the timing Perry had the ability to hire trained people that he knew and trusted. It was then in 1993, Perry C. Thomas Construction, Inc. was born and the rest is history.
