Scope Of Work

This project consisted of a 21 story, 421 room expansion to the existing hotel and casino.  The project also included upgrades to the pool and casino restaurant.  General Coatings Corporation was awarded the painting and wall covering scope of work for the project at $1.8 Million.  
The project had many challenges due to an aggressive schedule and various work products that needed to be produced at the same time.  Four groups deserve to be highlighted as they all played a unique part in the overall success of the project. 

1.The Faux Paint Division -Produced beautiful work in the B Bar, Banquet facility, Rita’s Cantina and the exterior pool palapas.  This work will be on display for many years to come.

2.The wall covering Division -This group was able to hang quality wall covering on multiple floors while working around other trades and on a very aggressive schedule.  We are proud of how the job turned out and how this group played a vital role in the overall success of the project. We also fabricated and installed custom wall panels at the banquet stage.

3.Painting division -The most challenging aspects for our production painting crews was working with the fragmented work schedule, staying in front of trades while falling back in behind them for touch up, and out of sequence work.

4.Floor Coating Division -By the end of the project, we had produced a restaurant floor and hallway, a decorative floor at the B Bar, Wall epoxy at the swim up bar, and several exterior epoxy projects near the pools.
