Selected for their masonry expertise and experience, Engineered Building Services, P.C. performed a survey of the existing tower's masonry conditions. Inspections required telescopic scaffold lift equipment as well as high power telephoto photography to access all elevations.

The landmark JONES BEACH TOWER located on Long Island's south shore recently underwent a comprehensive evaluation and is in the process of being restored. Selected for their masonry expertise and experience, Engineered Building Services, P.C. performed a survey of the existing tower's masonry conditions. Inspections required telescopic scaffold lift equipment as well as high power telephoto photography to access all elevations.

The tower was constructed in 1930 and is said to have been built to resemble the campanile of St. Mark's Cathedral in Venice, Italy. Freeze-thaw cycles exacerbated by coastal conditions are considered the primary deleterious factors affecting the condition of the steel, stone and brick structure. The tower functions as water storage facility, therefore interior steel building components were also found to be corroding from the high interior humidity. The tower walls step in and onto an interior steel support structure as the tower rises.

EBI developed an Engineer's Report and Drawings of the structure. The restoration has been featured in many newspaper articles.
