C.A. Buchen Corp. (aka cabco) was founded in 1962 as a small fabrication shop for miscellaneous structural steel.  It has since grown into its present stature in the industry as a company known for its reputation for quality, workmanship and commitment to on-time scheduling.  CABCO moved to its present location in 1976 to give way to its present facility of 57,036 square feet -- 22,560 of which is under roof and crane.  Its location in east San Fernando Valley is accessible to three major freeways: I-5, Fwys 210 and 170.  Shop output volume averages 50 tons a month and typical products fabricated are steel columns, beams, ladders, platforms, towers, walkways, handrails, angles, plates, special gratings, racks and supports.

CABCO supports the union spirit and employs experienced and skilled ironworkers from two local unions -- Shopmen Local 509and Field Ironworkers Local 433.  It is also a sponsor of the Ironworkers Apprenticeship Program and a member in good standing of the Steel Fabricators Association (SFA) and the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).  CABCO is a Los Angeles licensed fabricator for unlimited structural steel, rebar and aluminum.  Backed by such high standards and a team of expert metal workers, CABCO has come to stand for excellence in metal fabrication and installation.  After the 1994 Northridge earthquake, CABCO has become one of the specialists in seismic structural retrofit and repair.  Among its earthquake-related projects are the Voit Properties Warner Center Plazas in Woodland Hills, California.

CABCO is proud of a diverse clientele base which includes satisfied customers from the aerospace, entertainment, industrial and residential sectors.  Our main source of sales is as subcontractor to general contractors through competitive bidding.  Our committment to meet strict schedules sets us apart from our competitors.  Our dedication to provide quality products and dependable service at a competitive price has earned us our customers' trust and loyalty through the years.
