Tom Moraca was born and raised in Clearwater, Florida, where he was first introduced to the construction industry by his grandfather. At the early age of 16, Tom began working for Gilbert and Byrd, a large concrete masonry contractor. This is where he developed a strong foundation and love for construction.
Here, he continued to improve his carpentry skills before eventually leaving for the University of Florida. In 2001, Tom graduated with honors from the M.E. Rinker School of Building Construction, acquiring knowledge in construction management as well as practicing his technical skills in the field. Tom worked for different home builders throughout his college career, gaining hands-on experience, which would prove instrumental in the development of Moraca Builders as a Drywall Company.
In 2002, Tom was accepted into University of Florida's Warrington School of Business, where he studied for his Masters in Business, Real Estate, Development, and Finance. Tom and his wife moved to Boca Raton to start a family in 2003 where he worked with a local commercial contractor, successfully managing multi-million dollar projects. 2005 marked two momentous landmarks: fulfilling a dream by founding Moraca Builders Inc. and celebrating the birth of a second child in the Moraca family.
Over the past years Moraca Builders has developed from a young man with a dream to a fully operational general construction company specializing in metal framing and drywall. Tom credits his company's growth to the talented individuals he has had the privilege of working with. Moraca Builders remains a place of business with a family atmosphere where a group of highly skilled and motivated individuals have come together to achieve a common goal of being the best. Tom's guiding philosophy, as shown on the opening page of this book, was imparted by his grandfather and set his lifelong positive approach.
