Scope Of Work

Originally constructed in 1925, the Redmont Hotel has long been a figure of Birmingham’s Central Business District. Stewart Perry worked through complex historic tax credits to make this renovation a reality, honoring the spirit of the building, while making it ready for modern guests.

The Redmont Hotel renovation involved 120 guest rooms–all of which required an entirely updated bathroom–as well as common spaces. These included a first-floor restaurant and bar, meeting space, office space and a fitness center. As is often the case with historic buildings, our team discovered a surprise or two along the way. We brought outdated mechanical systems up to code and connected to an existing plumbing and sprinkler system to reduce cost. The restored hotel is now a beautifully furnished part of Hilton’s Curio Collection.
