Fred Blake's Bio
Fred has been with C & C for 32 years. During that tenure he has been exposed to all aspects of our business. He brings a no-nonsense approach to every task and project. His career has primarily been spent in management with the majority of his time being as general manager.
His expertise while diverse is focused on hauling, rigging, equipment installation, mechanical applications and electrical deployment. Fred continues to be active in project management. One of his recent day-to-day oversights involved setting an 8000 ton forging press. That is a lot of weight that Fred was responsible for! We are quite confident in stating that Fred is second to none in project management skills and experience.
Fred is very active in the community, is married and loves to ride motorcycles.
Jerry Fortner's Bio
As the CEO and strategic leader of C&C, Jerry is the pilot of our ship. He charts the course and assures we remain on course, not only operationally but fiscally and civilly as well. He has an active presence not only in the corporate offices but on-site with the projects as well. Jerry has been with our organization over 20 years and has a firm grip on the needs and demands of the business. The leading advocate of project quality and customer satisfaction within C&C, he leads daily with his actions in assuring total customer satisfaction and quality.
An active civic leader and philanthropist, Jerry is very concerned with community issues and participates frequently in community oriented functions and campaigns. He is married, loves his family, golfs every chance he gets (which isn't often enough) and occassionally might be seen at some University of Tennessee gatherings and events. We are proud to report that Jerry has served our armed forces in some aspect for 24 years.

Rick Greene's Bio
A long-time veteran of the C & C management ranks, Rick has managed multi-million dollar projects and has developed a large and diversified customer base. His attention to detail and significant project management and scheduling skills are attributes which assures any project to have a high probablility of success. Although his expertise is varied, Rick does specialize in heavy equipment foundations as well as pre-engineered metal buildings. By partnering with our clients, Rick and the client teams are able to generate efficient solutions to industrial and commercial applications. From the design and engineering phases to final project completion, Rick facilitates possibilties into reality.
Rick graduated from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree. A member of the Board of Directors of the Tri-Cities Associated General Contractors, Rick is also a professional member of the International Codes Council. He is active in the community and enjoys spending time with his children.
Operations
Brenda Knight's Bio
Quite simply, Brenda Knight is the cog that keeps the C & C machine at work. She joined C & C in 1982, and has been with the organization over 37 years. Her experience has allowed her to see all of the critical aspects of our business. This experience is invaluable in her role as operations manager. Brenda is responsible along with the vice-president(s) for coordinating job schedules and the management and people necessary to accomplish the task at hand. If work is to be done by C & C, then Brenda will be the one responsible for the C & C associates being on-site with the right skills and expertise. Perhaps the best compliment we can give Brenda is she is the calming force in the midst of unique project and people requirements. Brenda is a primary contact for both our customers and our people.
Brenda attends Pine Grove United Methodist Church, is married with two wonderful girls and is active in the community. She loves to collect baskets and is an avid Lady Vols basketball supporter.
Doug Weller's Bio
Doug joined the C&C management team in 2002. He has worked in the field as a team member and as a project manager. His efforts are already having a major impact on our customers. His resume already includes several multi-million dollar projects, all of which required significant oversight and attention to detail. His expertise is well-rounded but has a primary focus on the construction aspect of the business, Customer service and assuring that the job gets done are certainly characteristics of Doug.
Doug graduated form East Tennessee State University with a a degree in construction engineering technology. He is active in the community, loves to play golf and help his family on the farm.
Kenny Rednour's Bio
Kenny is another of our long-term managers with over 42 years of millwright and construction experience. He manages a multitude of diverse types of projects and is truly a hands-on manager. The customers Kenny interacts with are loyal and appreciative of his attention and style. Construction and industrial applications are specialities of Kenny's. As a project manager and person responsible with meeting customer expectations, we rely on Kenny to maintain our success standards.
Active in his church and on a community basis, Kenny is indeed a family man who believes in social and community responsibility.
Finance & Accounting
Conrad Friede's Bio
C & C was privileged to have Conrad join its ranks in 1981. Prior to his tenure with C & C, he worked in construction related organizations in the accounting departments. As the chief financial officer for the company, he oversees all job-costing, reporting, recording, payroll and treasury functions for C & C. He also functions as the company's coordinator with outside accountants for reporting with taxing authorities. Conrad is most astute from an oversight perspective in assuring the integrity of and the appropriateness of job-related charges and billings.
He enjoys his wife of 39 years, his kids and his grandkids, plays golf when he can, and is very active with his church in Bristol, Tennessee.
