General Contractor / Construction Supervisor License #034783
Bob Walker specializes in bathroom and kitchen remodeling and both commercial and residential design build renovations. A native Long Islander, Bob earned an undergraduate degree at the State University of New York at Albany and received an MFA from the sculpture program at the University of Massachusetts in 1977 with a minor in studies in furniture and interior design.
Upon graduation, Bob made the move from sculpture and cabinet making to becoming an independent carpenter and remodeling contractor. His formal art education helped him develop an eye for design and execution in residential and commercial projects. Over the past thirty plus years with Construct, Bob has completed many remarkable additions and renovations, including projects for Silverscape Designs, Downtown Sounds, Faces, Pleasant Street Video, Pinch Pottery and the Greenwood Music Camp.
When Bob is not occupied with Construct’s design and remodeling projects Bob is involved in many community activities. He has served as a member of the Executive Board of the Northampton Center for the Arts, is presently a member of the Central Business Architecture Committee, and has served on the committee to study the reuse of the South St. School, building committee for the YMCA addition in Northampton, MA, and the committee for the development of Design Guidelines for Downtown Northampton Central Business District.
Bob has a son Samuel who is working on his degree in Environmental Studies at UVM. Walker spends his free time pursuing a variety of personal interests, including coaching youth sports teams, glass blowing, and road biking. Bob has recently taken up soaring and is working on his solo Glider License.
