Scope Of Work
Mt. Morris Mutual Insurance Company was a design-build 13,000 square-foot office building with a 1,400 square-foot basement. Due to the rural setting in which Mt. Morris is located the design team incorporated a large cafeteria and fitness center with shower rooms for employee convenience.
Reclaimed barnwood timbers were used in the vaulted ceiling area of the entry to the office. These not only added to the refined rustic interior aesthetic, but also gave a nod to the farmers that have been the lifeblood of Mt. Morris Mutual Insurance since its beginning.
The reception and waiting area is highlighted by a digitally printed custom vinyl wall covering of historical photos of the original schoolhouse, Mt Morris through the years and photos of the Richford area from which the first owners originated from.
