Scope Of Work
15,527 square-foot facility includes ten instructional program spaces (classrooms and labs) and is the home of the Waupaca Area Job Center. The project was completed on a tight budget within six months. This highly-energy-efficient building’s renewable energy and “green” features include:
A solar thermal system that provides domestic hot water and radiant in-floor heating
A 30 kW photovoltaic system producing electricity to operate the building
Motion-controlled lighting
Structural insulated wall panels
Automated building control systems
Exterior window shading to reduce heat infiltration during the summer
Recycled building materials and low volatile (VOC) emitting components
