Scope Of Work
This project is the renovation of an existing Sterile Processing Department at Miami Children’s Hospital which is operational twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The work included the installation of new tile, a revision to the existing walls, new paint, new mechanical equipment, new plumbing fixtures, added fire dampers and the installation of new owner furnished equipment to include a new sterilizer, air compressor, and cart washer. We performed the work in eleven phases and the operations of the Sterile Processing Department were not interrupted during construction. ICRA was maintained during construction and temporary partitions were erected at each project phase. The subcontractors were required to perform all work without introducing any contaminants into the sterile processing department during construction.
