Andy’s a graduate of the self-accredited Hard Knocks University. With well over three decades of experience, he brings a deep understanding of this industry. As our Vice President and a member of the Herd since 1997, Andy oversees our field operations.

Andy grew up in sunny California but now spends his days in Louisville, Ky., with his wife and son. When not herding the Buffalo, Andy enjoys golf, watching his son play sports and spending time with his family. His coworkers are still anxiously awaiting the release of his first podcast, Afternoons with Andy.

If you’re looking for a college degree, maybe you can buddy up to Brett and convince him to part with one of his. An All-American scholarship swimmer, Brett graduated from Union College with four degrees – History, Political Science, Criminal Justice, and Philosophy. We’ve been lucky to have this academic on Team Buffalo since 2003.

Brett lives in Louisville, Ky. with his wife, daughter and dogs. When he’s not with our Herd, you’ll find him with his own. He loves spending time with his family, mountain biking and restoring old Volkswagens.

You’ve probably heard that buffalos roam, but our Founder, Roman A. Buffalo, really gets around. His hooves are always busy, traveling all over the country to keep an eye on his 100+ adopted teammates at jobsites across the country. Sure, they’re not his biological children — they’d be a lot hairier if so — but he loves them all the same.  

Since 1997 he’s pushed Buffalo Construction, Inc. to have the best service in the country. He has a B.S. in Client Satisfaction from the School of Sticks and Bricks, which comes in handy with his role — he’s a stickler for getting the job done right.

While Roman’s been known to drop a buffalo chip or two out in the field, the only trace of him or his Herd is a job well done. It’s the only way he knows to help the Herd expand (a passion of his, since his kind were almost wiped out in the early 1900s).

It’s not all work and no play for the furry guy, though. When he’s on a job up north, you might find Roman barreling through a field of snow. He’s also been working on his golf game when he’s down south, but we gotta say, with shoulders that broad, we’re not sure he’s ever going to have good follow through.

While his original home was out on the range, Roman now beds down in Louisville, Ky.

If he’s in the room, don’t cha know it? Our fearless leader has an unforgettable personality and a laugh to match. He founded the joint in 1997, so let’s just say he’s ultimately responsible for this madness we get to call work. Truth be told, though, Scott not only personifies our unmatched culture, but he also inspires the whole Herd with his work ethic and philanthropy. An active member of the Louisville Chapter of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization), Scott’s primary personal objective in life is giving back to those who are less fortunate.

The San Diego, Calif., native lives in Louisville, Ky., with his wife. Their two kids are in college, so if he’s not working, he’s probably golfing or globetrotting.

Alex shares a kindred spirit with the Buffalo. A true outdoorsman, he’s drawn to the wilderness, loves to fish and hike and has plans to visit all 59 of the U.S. National Parks. With 6 down, he’s got only 53 more to explore! Born and raised in Louisville, Alex received his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Eastern Kentucky University and joins our Herd as a Project Estimator. When he’s not estimating a job or roaming our nation's parks, he’s probably at a football game or rockin’ it out at a concert. Alex aspires to be a Project Manager.

Chris’s passion for learning paid off when he attended ITT Technical Institute to earn his degree in electrical engineering technology. That comes in handy now as he helps the Herd keep our jobs in the black by providing proper estimates as a Project Estimator.

After growing up in the small town of Morganfield, Ky., Chris moved north and now lives in Mount Washington, Ky. with his two daughters. This doting dad loves to spend time outdoors with his girls. He also enjoys a good volleyball match, catching some fish or playing through on the golf course. In fact, he tries to get in as much practice on the green as he can, because he dreams of someday becoming a scratch golfer.

Kristopher – aka Kris – has an impressive military background. A six-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps., he worked as a combat engineer and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004. We’re grateful for his time served. 

Kris joined our team in 2013, and works today as Estimating Manager. He’s based in Louisville, where he also lives with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, camping, soccer, and Frisbee golf.

Robinson’s skillset includes being highly-organized and good at multi-tasking — two things he definitely needs when estimating projects for the Herd across the country. Having several years of industry experience also doesn’t hurt.

A lifelong Louisville, Ky. resident, Robinson attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington. But a few years in Big Blue Nation didn’t change this guy’s hometown loyalty, because he’s still a huge University of Louisville Cardinals fan.

After work, you can usually find him blowing off steam with friends and family, taking in a concert, or attending his favorite sporting events. He loves college football, NASCAR and incorporating his fondness for travel with his love of baseball. Robinson has been to every Major League Baseball stadium prior to 2008.

Tim graduated from Louisville Technical Institute and joined Team Buffalo back in 2011. Today he serves our clients as a Project Manager, primarily dealing with our design-build projects. Born and raised in Louisville, Ky., Tim still lives there today with his two daughters.

If he’s not working with the Herd, you’ll likely find Tim playing volleyball or golf.

Brittney has a way of taking a high-level view of the Herd. Maybe it’s her fine attention to detail, or maybe it’s in her genes. Brittney’s father was in the Air Force, and she followed his lead by attending Everglades University where she studied aviation technology after studying at Purdue University. Even today, she enjoys flying.

Though as a child she bounced around the country a bit due to her father’s career, she’s finally found her home. Brittney and her husband (yeah, she agreed to claim him, our own number cruncher Doug Piatt) and their two children live in Louisville, Ky. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and running.
