Scope Of Work

Ashley Furniture came to us for some help with an addition to eight of its stores. They needed mattress-specific sales areas constructed adjacently to the showroom. At 3,000 to 5,000 square feet, the showrooms would make up a decent part of the overall retail area in each store, and many of the areas were often in the middle of the showroom. Despite being front and center, we could not interrupt business operations. Our team did most of the work at night, after employees and guests had left. Specific attention was required to maintain a clean job site, and ensure the store was ready for the next wave of customers in the morning.

We conducted this program with two labor crews, allowing dual jobs to run concurrently. Our materials were staged in advance, and pre constructed whenever possible. This allowed us to dramatically decrease the impact and time on the retail sales floor, while ensuring each mattress showroom was built to our high standards as well. This job turned out great for Ashley’s Home Furniture, and we like to think they slept better at night knowing the Herd was getting the job done right.
