Since 1997, President Michael Benson has grown BCI Construction into one of the most successful and dynamic construction enterprises in the New York/New England area, with a range of competencies that encompass construction management, design-build work, and general construction services.
In his role as President, Michael Benson has overseen the strategic development, direction, and daily operation of a multi-faceted and growing general construction firm engaged in all facets of commercial construction throughout the northeastern United States. He has helped expand the company into a multiple delivery system construction enterprise, able to meet the diverse needs of an ever-changing industry. Over the years, BCI has established a stellar track record of work with office, retail, commercial, warehouse, manufacturing, health care, co-generation plants, waste water treatment plants, geothermal systems, multi-family housing, assisted living, and educational facilities.
Throughout his tenure, Benson has maintained a sharp focus on client satisfaction, beginning with a strong work ethic and sense of pride in the company. He’s recruited energetic and experienced talent – all of whom share his passion for building – and he constantly seeks to expand both the company’s geographic reach and its range of services.
Over the past 20 years, Benson has become a well-respected figure in the Albany business community. He is the current president and a former board member of Associated General Contractors of New York State. He is also a former member of the Albany Local Development Corporation, a former board member of the Center for the Disabled Foundation, and currently sits on the Board of Directors of the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation.
