As president of Charles A. Gaetano Construction, Mr. Gaetano delivers peace of mind to customers with his combination of experience in both commercial real estate development and the construction industry.
In 2006, Mr. Gaetano joined Charles A. Gaetano Construction and is presently responsible for overseeing daily operations and personnel. In addition, Mr. Gaetano also serves as president and CEO of Brian A. Gaetano Co., and specializes in real estate consulting, site selection assistance, re-use and turnkey development expertise to a variety of clients in diverse and demanding industries. He is known for his unique ability to align clients with solutions to fulfill current needs and anticipate growth. This dual role allows Gaetano to offer clients his expertise from site selection to move-in day and beyond.
Mr. Gaetano graduated from LeMoyne College with a degree in Business Administration. He went on to earn the distinction of a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) of CCIM Institute, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation and investment analysis.
Michael Bushardt's Bio
As a Dean's List student in Construction Management, Mr. Bushardt joined Gaetano Construction Corporation in 1999. Upon graduation, Mr. Bushardt has continued his growth with the Corporation as an Estimator and Project Manager.
Mr. Bushardt's responsibilities as an Estimator included quantity take-offs, pricing, compiling and reviewing subcontractor and material proposals on projects up to $22 million. He also has the ability to provide budgets on construction documents that are in the schematic and design development stages. His participation on the Cayuga Medical Center began 1 year prior to the start of construction.
In October 2005, Mr. Bushardt was assigned to a Project Manager position. His responsibilities now include assisting in or negotiating the buyout, writing subcontracts and purchase orders. Establish and continue to maintain the project schedule requirements, coordinating overall activities based on individual project goals and milestones. Conferring daily with the superintendent and project team to overcome obstacles and keep the project moving, while reviewing project operations to ensure safety and productivity. Negotiate cost and schedule impact for all scope changes with the project team and continues to track this process through issuance of change orders. Maintain a cooperative working relationship between the Owner, Architect, Superintendent and Subcontractors.
In March, 2010 Mr. Bushardt became the Chief Estimator for the Company. As the leader of the Estimating Department, he manages and directs the estimating staff, reviews all negotiated and competitive bids and budget quotations. Mr. Bushardt also manages the projects through the Pre-Construction phase, where the scope and the schedule are determined, subcontractors are selected and the final price is established. He has the experience and ability to prepare estimates from conceptual drawings as well as fully designed documents.

Robert Munson's Bio
With over 20 years experience in the construction field, Rob Munson has served primarily in the healthcare, educational and housing areas of construction. Mr. Munson's communication and organizational skills are outstanding which assisted him in managing several (as many as four) multimillion dollar projects simultaneously.
As Project Manager, Rob is responsible for facilitating communication between owners and the construction team. His duties include preparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, submittals change orders and estimates including proposals. He also maintains project schedules and coordinates direct manpower, including subcontractors.
Mr. Munson has outstandingly supervised all phases of general construction. His technical specialties include Construction Management, Estimating, Architecture, and Mechanical and Electrical Equipment. He excels at projects with aggressive schedules.
Rob is a certified NYS Building Inspector and was ASHE certified in the fall of 2004. In addition he has successfully completed the OSHA 10 Hr. Training Course and is presently working toward the LEED AP designation. He recently achieved the LEED Green Associate Credential.

$17.4M Located at 4310 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY - this multi-phase project demolished 14 of the 22 existing buildings on the site, and have been replaced by (3) three new buildings comprised of 93 units (84 1-bedroom and 9 2-bedrooms) and (1) new 5500 SF Community Center . The buildings are three-story, double-loaded corridor, elevator served. The redevelopment will replace all current studio/efficiency units with one-bedroom units and is the first phase of a multi-Phase Project.
West Street Apartments, Utica, NY
$10.2M This three-story 52,000 SF project provides (36) one-bedroom and (6) two-bedroom affordable housing units including 11 permanent supportive housing apartments for the homeless, those at risk of homelessness, and/or formerly homeless individuals or small families. There is also approximately 7,200 square feet dedicated to the Community Services programs that the Rescue Mission of Utica will operate and will be located in the ground floor of the new facility.
Hutchings Psychiatric Center, Syracuse, NY
$7.6M This project is for the New York State Office of Mental Health included DASNY as the Construction Manager. Some of the highlights of this project included (2) new 3 story CMU additions along with the total gut renovation of the existing 36,000 SF Mental Health Facility. Major components of the project involved a new commercial kitchen and a large dining commons, new mechanical & electrical systems, new security windows, new curtain walls, new built-up roof with safety rails and a roof walkway, all new interior finishes as well as a reconfigured site with all new site utilities, courtyards, and various site amenities. The project is seeking LEED Silver Certification from the USGBC.
A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta, NY
$1 M Interior renovations of 1st and 2nd floor patient rooms. The 27,000 SF interior fit-out involved all new interior finishes including new architectural millwork, solid surface shower units, all new specialties, doors, frames and hardware.
St. Elizabeth's Medical Center - Lab Expansion & Renovation
$2.1 M Phase 1 of the expansion consisted of a 5600 SF renovation of an existing sleep lab as well as a 2-story addition that included a new specimen receiving room & mechanical space. The pre-existing 5100 SF lab will be renovated as part of Phase 2 to give the hospital a new 10,000 SF state-of-the-art laboratory.

$1.6M, Construction of a new 4800 SF primary care facility on the Little Falls Hospital campus. The new facility has seven exam rooms, a treatment room, a lab, four offices and support areas.

$825,000 Located in the upper level of the new Morrisville Athletic Field Stadium, this up-scale multi-use space is complete with facilities for conferences and banquets. There is a large glass curtain wall overlooking the new Athletic Field that allows for optimum viewing of all game day activities. The fit-out of this space included kitchen facilties, (2) large seating areas, conference area and bar-serving area.

Project involved the construction of a 2-story addition to the existing camp on the shores of White Lake in the Central Adirondacks. Anthony Obernesser's Bio
Anthony Obernesser has over 22 years of commercial construction industry experience with Gaetano Construction Corporation. A graduate of SUNY Institute of Technology, Mr. Obernesser started with Gaetano as a Project Manager Assistant. He has since progressed to Estimator, Project Manager, Cheif Estimator and Senior Project Manager working on several multi-million dollar projects. He has held the position of draftsman, estimator and manager of both conventional and pre-engineered metal building projects and has had the additional opportunity to work in the in the design/build department.
As Vice President of Preconstruction, Mr. Obernesser works with Owners and Architects to plan and budget their projects from the conceptual estimate stage.
He works closely with the Project Management Department to pre-plan the work. He is responsible for oversight of the Estimating Department.

Mr. Cardillo joins the Gaetano Construction Corp. with 20 plus years of experience in both Commercial and Residential Construction. Whether it was in his teen years working with both of his grandfather's on Carpentry and Masonry, working with his father who was an electrician or in his early twenties starting as an apprentice carpenter in the field and finally moving to the office. He has performed as an Estimator, Project Manager, Site Superintendent, and Carpenter.
Greig Cardillo is currently working in the Estimating Department. His duties include working with Estimating Management on competitive and design build budgeted projects. Dan joined Charles A. Gaetano Construction early in 2018. He studied Construction Management at Utica College. During his schooling Dan was afforded the opportunity to intern at Gaetano Construction, putting into practice what he has learned and gaining experience at Hamilton College Health Facility, Wallace Johnson and the Athletic Facility. This project involved the construction of a NanoTech manufacutring facility located on the SUNY Polytechnic campus in Utica, NY. Jonah worked for M+W Group, U.S. as the Project Engineer, helping with subcontractor coordination. This included helping the Superintendent keep track of progress as well as insuring the correct safety procedures were being followed.

Joshua Rowlands's Bio
Mr. Rowlands, was hired upon graduation from the State University of New York at Delhi in May 2017. Josh is no stranger to construction or to Gaetano Construction as he accepted the opportunity to intern for Gaetano in the field as a carpenter/laborer in 2014 and later in 2015 as an Assistant Project Manager. He has proved to be very industrious and capable of handling the rigors of construction management. Josh has been active in assisting with the management of a few of our high-profile projects and manages projects on his own.
Josh is responsible for facilitating communication between owners and the construction team. He also maintains project schedules and coordinates direct manpower, including subcontractors. His duties include preparation of subcontracts, purchase orders, submittals, change orders, estimates and also assists in developing proposals.

This project involved building a new two-story 14,000 SF Health and Counseling Center for Hamilton College. It consists of multiple exam and medical spaces throughout the first floor along with counseling and group activity spaces throughout the second floor. Hamilton College Wallace Johnson Addition & Alterations-Student Housing
This 6,700 SF project was a complete renovation of the building along with new finishes and MEP's. It consists of two new additions; one being a stair tower and the other a kitchenette and entrance. Contract value $2.3M
Hamilton College New Practice Facility Addition
This 29,300 SF project consists of an addition to Hamilton College's Field House. This addition is a pre-manufactured Butler building with an interior turf field. Details include new men's and women's restrooms along with an indoor batting cage. Contract value $3.3M
Accelerate Sports Complex
This brand new building is an 82,500 square foot prefabricated butler building, located in Whitesboro, NY. The structure is a 275' x 300' pre-engineered building by Butler Manufacturing, using their MR-24 standing seam roof system and shadowall siding. The final interior end use will consist of a full size 150' x 270' indoor turf soccer field, (3) multi use courts for basketball, volley ball, tennis, etc. There are locker rooms, bathroom area, pro shop and a fitness center. The second floor will house (10) 70' long batting cages and a 900' long by 12' wide running track around the perimeter of the turf playing field. Contract value $3.4M
MVHS Rome Clinic Renovation –This 3,525 SF project consisted of renovating an existing office space in an occupied building to create a new clinic for Mohawk Valley Health System. The new clinic consists of nine exam rooms, two new nurse stations, a phlebotomy lab, and other spaces for staff. Contract value $435,000

Kristen joined Charles A. Gaetano Construction early in 2018. She is a graduate of Clarkson University with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Civil Engineering. During her schooling Kristen was afforded the opportunity to intern at various companies, including Gaetano Construction, gaining experience and putting into practice what she has learned. She has worked closely with our pre-construction department as an Assistant Project Manager and Estimator, utilizing her skills in AutoCAD and Revit to expedite the pre-construction process on multiple projects.
Presently she is working as the Project Manager for a job at the Dunham Public Library in Whitesboro New York. The renovation project consists of new ceiling, flooring, and a glass partition, as well as, a new exterior window, creating a better overall atmosphere for the library.

Ms. Miller has joined our Project Management team bringing with her over seven years of experience in the construction industry having a strong background in Civil Engineering along with all other aspects of commercial construction. She has been involved in developing the scopes of projects, estimating, and construction management along with creating and implementing policies and procedures for an expanding excavation company. Monica's background includes working with a variety of state agencies both public and private including colleges/universities, a maximum security prison, a health care center, a pedestrian trail and visitor center.
