Jason Cave is Director of Preconstruction at Del Amo Construction. During his 25 years with the company, he has built and led a team that provides the best building experience ever. Modeling the “construction concierge” approach and leading by example, Jason manages client relations, collaborates with design teams to develop constructible solutions, establishes responsible budgets, creates realistic schedules, and coordinates logistics plans.
With more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Jason has gone from being a general laborer and lead carpenter on project sites to now being a Senior Executive Partner. By combining his structural engineering education with his deep field experience, Jason has increased his knowledge of the construction process, ultimately adding relevance to his role as the Director of Preconstruction. When he joined the second-generation, privately held general contractor organization in 1993, his department was a single-man team; today he oversees 18 people handling pre-construction duties. Additionally, Jason has been integral to the company’s growth—from its first $10 and $20 million projects to handling its current $60 to $90 million projects, which all are notable feats in the history of Del Amo Construction.
Jason teaches weekly internal construction classes for junior staff members, and actively participates in his community as an ACE Mentor Team Leader, helping to inspire groups of students entering the fields of architecture, construction and engineering. His community involvement falls directly in line with the Del Amo Construction philanthropic initiative, which incentivizes employees to serve their communities outside of the office. In his free time, Jason Cave enjoys traveling with his family, hiking and watching sports.
