Tim McCahill was born and raised in a large family on Chicago’s South Side (yes, he is a White Sox fan). His extensive painting career began while he was only a freshman at Brother Rice High School, doing small projects for his mother’s friends. By the time he was a junior he was already employing his first employees.
Tim attended Western Illinois University after high school, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1978. Upon his graduation the McCahill Painting Company was officially formed.
Throughout high school, college, and the company’s early years, Tim was heavily involved out in the field – painting during the day and doing estimates at night and on weekends. Initially, the clientele was mainly residential and light commercial. As the business expanded to accommodate and eventually focus on commercial/institutional work, Tim gradually found himself taking on a more executive role in company sales and management. Today, Tim has over 37 years of experience and an impressive list of Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional customers throughout Chicagoland and the greater Midwest. He considers himself very fortunate to be self-employed and truly enjoys managing his own painting business.
