Grunder Landscaping

Marty started Grunder Landscaping Co. in 1984 to earn money for his tuition at the University of Dayton and in the 35 years since its inception, Grunder Landscaping Co. has become the leading Design-Build Landscape firm in the area. Marty serves as the President and CEO of Grunder Landscaping Company and applies his passion for landscape design to every project. Marty also runs his own business consulting company, The Grow Group. Marty’s entrepreneurial skills have merited him several awards, including the Ohio Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Midwest by the Small Business Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce. He was also named as the Dayton / Miami Valley Entrepreneur of the Year in 2001 by Ernst & Young. When he’s not working, Marty enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa and their four children. As a native Daytonian, Marty also enjoys rooting for the Reds, Bengals, and Dayton Flyers.

Seth has schooling in landscape management and design at Colorado State and since joining GLC, he has received four design awards from state and national organizations. He serves as GLC’s Chief Operating Officer and uses his expertise in hardscape and design to bring innovative ideas to our clients. In his free time, Seth enjoys downhill skiing, fishing, camping, home renovation, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Dalton holds an associate degree in landscape design at Clark State College. Dalton is passionate about quality landscape design and construction. Dalton also served our country by doing a tour of duty in Afghanistan and is currently a member of the Ohio Army National Guard. When not working, Dalton enjoys spending time with his wife Kristina and three children.

Jon has over 10 years of experience designing, selling, and building landscapes and hardscapes. He studied Landscape Architecture at The Ohio State University. When not exceeding our clients expectations Jon likes to vacation at Disney with his wife and son. You can also find him watching the Ohio State Buckeyes football games.

Kent is the proud holder of a bachelor’s degree in landscape horticulture from The Ohio State University and a master certification from The Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association. He has been working in landscape design and horticulture for over 25 years serves as GLC’s primary LandKeeping ™ Consultant. When not at work, Kent cares for his growing menagerie of animals at home, which include two dogs, chickens, ducks, and rescue Canadian goose named Oscar!

Mike studied landscape horticulture as an undergraduate at The Ohio State University and then received his master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Maryland. Mike joined Grunder Landscape Co. in 2019 and has designed some of our largest projects to date. Mike worked for seven years in the mid-Atlantic region designing residential gardens before returning to Ohio. In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and two daughters.
