Clarke La Vine's Bio
Clarke is a native of Southern California, growing up in Granada Hills in the San Fernando Valley. He is a graduate of UCLA with a bachelor's degree in Business / Economics and a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA). He has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1986. With an extensive employment background with some of the largest and most prominent commercial property management companies in Southern California, Clarke has been the CFO of Gothic since 1996. His responsibilities include the oversight of the accounting team, financial planning and analysis, and compliance. Clarke is married with three children and enjoys traveling, golfing, and poker night with the guys.
Jon Georgio's Bio
As the President and CEO, Jon has ultimate responsibility for leading Gothic toward its strategic goals. He is a graduate of California State University at Northridge with degrees in Finance and English and has completed the Management Development Program for Entrepreneurs (MDE) at the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Jon and his family have been business owners, homeowners, and active members of the Santa Clarita Valley community since 1988. They support numerous non-profits and charitable organizations such as the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, the Michael Hoefllin Foundation, the Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, the American Cancer Society, and many local schools. In addition, Jon has accepted a position as a member of the City National Bank San Fernando Valley Advisory Board. Jon resides in Santa Clarita with his wife of 29 years, Mardi. Together they have three children: Derek (23), a graduate of USC, Devin (22), a graduate of UCLA and a graduate student at the University of Michigan, and Tristan (17), a senior at West Ranch High School.
Nada Duna's Bio
Nada joined the Gothic team in 2017 after a 29-year career with a leading national competitor. In her role as COO, Nada will lead the growth and performance of the maintenance division. Throughout her career in the landscape industry, Nada has always shared a passion for taking care of customers and supporting the hardworking men and women who perform the gardening services on client properties. Nada is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in horticulture and earned her Master’s Degree in plant pathology from the American University of Beirut. Away from work, she loves spending time with her husband Ray and their two children. Her hobbies include travel, foreign languages (5 and counting!), water color painting, and hiking. Her life goal is to help women in underdeveloped countries to gain the confidence, education, and skills necessary to succeed in life.
Nick Depasquale's Bio
Nick is a lifelong resident of Southern California and has been with Gothic Grounds Management since 2000. He is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Sociology and a specialization in Management. His industry credentials include being a Certified Arborist, a Landscape Industry Certified Manager, and a Qualified Applicator. As Vice-President of GGM, Nick is responsible for making sure that each of the ten GGM branches has the necessary resources to provide our clients with the highest quality of service. The importance of the GGM mission statement to provide unparalleled client experiences is the motivating factor in his decision-making process. Nick is married with two sons and appreciates the many opportunities that Southern California gives him to enjoy the ocean by boating, surfing, and fishing. Nick credits the late Mike Georgio (former CEO of Gothic) with being a role-model and mentor in both his personal and professional life.
Nick Arena's Bio
Nick grew up in Southern California and is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Geography. He has worked for some of the most reputable home builders and real estate development companies in America and has overseen projects and operations in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas. Nick has an extensive background in operations and purchasing which greatly assist him in his position as Vice President - Administration. His responsibilities include working with Branch and Regional personnel to assess equipment and infrastructure needs, procure trucks and equipment, and oversee internal building projects. Nick is a licensed California real estate broker, a California General Contractor, and has a California Landscape Contractor's license.
Ron Georgio's Bio
Ron started working for Gothic 50 years ago when his father used to wake his sons up at 4:00 a.m. on a Saturday or during the summer to help him with landscape jobs. Ron’s first job with Gothic was to operate the machine which cut and threaded the galvanized sprinkler system pipes, which pre-dated the use of plastic. After a 19-year career in the manufacturing industry, Ron rejoined Gothic as the President of Gothic Grounds Management in 1998. Ron’s primary responsibility is guiding the long-term strategic planning of the company to ensure that GGM is strong and dynamic for another generation. In his free time, Ron is an avid poker player and has owned race horses periodically over the last several years. He’s also an animal lover and enjoys swimming and spending time with his dogs. Ron has attended the University of Houston and has earned a certificate in “Mergers and Acquisitions” from UCLA. He draws inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi and from his quote, “You must be the change you expect to see in the world.”

Dan Cullen's Bio
Dan brings his more than 30 years of computer experience to the Information Systems / Technology department of Gothic. In 2011, Dan engineered the complete overhaul of the company's information system technology, creating an infrastructure that would allow Gothic to expand for many years. Dan's job responsibilities include the maintenance of our internal server and providing troubleshooting and system diagnostics for multiple branch locations throughout the southwestern United States. Dan is married with three daughters and enjoys camping, golf, travel, and spending time with his family.
Sandi Malmquist's Bio
Sandi is the Director of Human Resources and brings more than 40 years of corporate management experience to the Gothic team. She is a graduate of the University of California Redlands with a degree in Business Management and also earned a Certificate of Human Resources from UCLA. Combining professional experience in both human resources management and customer service, Sandi brings a unique perspective to our human resources department and our employee development program. Sandi's responsibilities include recruitment, training and development, performance management, employee relations, benefits administration, and in-house payroll administration for more than 1,200 Gothic employees. She is married with one child and resides in Valencia, California. Her passions are spending time with her family and living each day to its fullest.

Christopher Wick's Bio
Chris started with Gothic in 2010 and has more than 30 years of experience in the commercial landscape industry. He was born and raised in Chicago, is a graduate of Liberty University in Virginia, and is currently working toward a Master’s Degree in European History. Chris is responsible for leading the maintenance sales team in each Region, marketing the company’s services through print and media outlets, and growing Gothic through the strategic acquisition of partner companies. In his spare time, Chris is passionate about traveling, sports, history, literature, German beer, and spending time in Europe.

Adriana Sandoval's Bio
Adriana brings more than 20 years of accounting experience, including 15 in the landscape industry, as she leads our accounting team in the maintenance division. She is a graduate of Woodbury University in Burbank, CA. with a degree in Business Administration. In her spare time, Adriana loves spending time with her family (husband, two sons, and daughter), traveling, and marathon running.
