At Lay Construction, Senior Project Manager Bobby Ogden is responsible for total project management including controlling budgets, negotiating subcontracts, and providing day-to-day communication with the project team to ensure jobs remain on schedule and within budget. A team player, Bobby holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors, resulting in successful construction experiences.
With an associate’s degree in Applied Sciences from Tyler Junior College, Bobby has over 8 years’ experience overseeing all phases of multi-million-dollar construction projects, including infrastructure, schools, restaurants, and retail projects for public clients. Other highlights of his work include extensive HVAC improvements, site improvements, utility relocations, post tension modifications, concrete tilt-up construction, and tenant improvement projects of both occupied and unoccupied spaces.
Bobby also has a broad background in construction contract scenarios, including design-build, guaranteed maximum price (GMP), cost plus fixed fee, and hard bid. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work with clients such as Ford, GMC, Mercedes, Volkswagen Dealership, Marshall ISD, Christian Mother Frances Hospital, Jimmy Nardellos, Schlotzsky’s, Pro-Star Rental, Qwench Juice Bar, Dairy Queens, and Sky Ranch.
Outside of work Bobby enjoys being outdoors and traveling with his wife and 2 kids. He can relax and enjoy on either the beach, snow-capped mountains or alongside a creek in a secluded cabin. Hobbies include riding his motorcycle, working out and coaching his kid’s soccer team.
