About R. E. Lee & Son, Inc.
R. E. Lee & Son was founded in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1939 with a commitment to provide the highest level of construction services. The company began as builders and restorers of fine and historic homes. In the mid 1950’s, as the post-war residential building boom waned, we began work in the commercial and industrial fields, and at the same time began to operate throughout the Central Virginia region.
From then on the company grew steadily, building larger, more diverse and complex projects. Today, our success can be measured by the enduring quality of our projects and the confidence placed in us by our clients. We are recognized leaders in the building industry, providing sound management, high standards of craftsmanship, on-schedule production, within-budget performance, and reliability and responsibility to the client.
