Scope Of Work

Powers & Sons was the General Contractor for the renovation of 31,800 SF shell space on the fourth floor of the Eskenazi Fifth Third Bank Building. Prior to the renovation, Eskenazi Health was using the space for Epic Training which had to continue during the construction process. To accommodate this need, Powers & Sons worked closely with multiple user groups to create a phasing plan to ensure that Eskenazi’s normal operations would not be interrupted. The project was completed in three phases, turning over each phase for occupancy after completion.

The project’s success was attributed to early planning with multiple stakeholders including safety, security, the design team, and user groups. The phasing moves and critical shut-downs were communicated and planned months in advance so all entities had time to plan for them. Construction causing loud noise or vibration were also communicated and discussed well in advance of the work occurring.
