When you work with Altius Building Company throughout the design and building process, you work directly with expert teams through each phase. As experts in the field, we will be able to tell you which processes and products will be the most economical, providing a cost-benefit analysis of product and installation costs. We do not self-perform. We obtain the best bids from a variety of contractors in the market, ensuring that you will receive the best value.
SITE UTILIZATION AND PROJECT SAFETY
Altius is a leader in site usage/maximization and job site safety, with a significantly lower EMR rate than the industry average. We maintain strict safety policies through safety inspections and ongoing safety training for all workers. YYour project will be carefully staged to permit the safest conditions possible- allowing for adequate space, lighting, and access. We will continually work to maintain all safety standards, keeping our personnel, partners, and subcontractors safe during your build.
Not being a signatory to any construction labor contracts gives us the flexibility to obtain bids from a variety of contractors. We have a well established background working with subcontractors and vendors with proven track records. Selection of team members for your project will be based on their history, and because subcontractors perform differently on various types of projects, we will evaluate their expertise in fulfilling your job’s specific needs
Altius Building Company will stimulate bidder interest among subs and suppliers to obtain the best prices for your project. We. will solicit a minimum of three bids for each division of work.
Upon receiving bids, we will extensively evaluate and provide recommendations for you. Successful bidders will ultimately be responsible for their performance. Review meetings with recommended bidders are conducted before contract signing to ensure there is a clear understanding of expectations, scope of work, and cost.
MANAGEMENT OF DESIGN-BUILD SUBCONTRACTORS
Experience allows us to make initial recommendations based on project application. Often the difference in price is due to quality and product type differentiation. We will make a note of this when we make our award recommendations to you. Altius will closely monitor subcontractors, assuring they adhere to their original budget. On the rare occasion that a budget would change at the time of CD's, we would provide an opportunity you to purchase the design and competitively bid it to the market.
Proper scheduling of your project is critical to us. Using an advanced scheduling software program allows us to schedule each task, manage the related resources, provide analysis and create useful reports. Our system is easily updated and indicates actual activity progress. Our project team will refer to the schedule on a daily basis, and during weekly progress review meetings, always keeping you informed.
