Scope Of Work
The Award Winning project was performed on a design-build basis in collaboration with Long Beach based RDC. The two-story Type ll-B structure consists of approximately 65,000 SF of ground floor retail / entertainment space and a second floor AMC with 12 auditoriums. The turnkey AMC fitout was done by Lyle Parks Jr., Construction in conjunction with Kansas City based Lickel Architecture. The state-of-the-art AMC Montclair Place 12 includes both a 157 seat IMAX and a 160 seat Dolby auditorium. The exterior of the structure is clad in a laser cut 3/8” aluminum skin. During the day the skin reads as metallic “Glimmer”, however at night the negative space is backlit by LED lighting. The lighting colors can be changed by operations.
