Scope Of Work
Pacific West Builders designed and built a new simulator training facility at NASNI Coronado. Although the facility was relatively small in building area, 4,900 sq/ft, the single room facility had an interior ceiling height of 70’. The high bay facility was built tall enough to house two simulators for training the Navy’s aviators. The facility required a special electrical and mechanical system to support the new flight simulators. The foundations were constructed using concrete piles and a mat foundation system due to the condition of the soils and its proximity to San Diego Bay.
