Our Story
CJI is an Ohio based interior contracting firm with offices in Macedonia, Cleveland, and Florida. Formed in 1999 with the belief that craftsmanship and attention to detail would make us the very best. As our project scopes grew in size, so did our reputation as a quality-centric, quick thinking/acting company. This has given us the opportunity to be able to bring on additional quality staff to provide better services to our customers. While we still work on interior contracting, we have grown our list of services to include flooring solutions, general contracting, and construction management. This increase in services has given us a chance to highlight our brand of hard work and dedication to ‘getting the job done’ in job sites we would not think possible a few years prior.

CJI is an experienced professional construction company. We contract for the new construction of an entire building or project, rather than a portion of the work. The general contractor is the primary point of responsibility for controlling construction costs and meeting the project schedule. The general contractor hires subcontractors to perform specific portions of the project (electricians, plumbers, etc.), oversees all work, and is responsible for payment to the subcontractors.

Flooring Solutions:
Carpet, Hardwood Floor and Tile Removal
Glued down carpet removal can put your job behind schedule if not done right. CJI excels at removing glued down carpet, tacked down carpet, sports floors, tough double stick carpet and more. We have the ability to offer our customers a safe, clean method of ceramic floor tile removal using our electric floor removal equipment or milling machines. All of our milling machines are equipped with on board dust collectors producing no airborne dust.
Also our cleanup is done under dust free conditions. We can also remove other tiles such as marble, granite, slate, travertine, Mexican pavers and much more. We can remove glued down hardwood, parquet plank, bamboo, and other wood floors ten times faster than traditional methods. We can then remove the epoxy or glue that is left behind.
Floor Grinding
Grinding is a highly effective way to clean, abrade, and remove coatings, mastics and other adhesives from a floor, leaving the substrate clean and profiled. The grinders excel at removing coatings, thin sets, sealers, and adhesives.
What is Shot Blasting?
Shot blasting is the process of blasting a concrete surface with steel shot (small steel balls) at a high velocity. This removes contamination and laitance (soft concrete) to reveal a sound mechanically bonded surface. The concrete dust is recovered by a powerful dust collection system.
Advantages of Shot Blasting:
- Eliminates the use of harsh, non-eco-friendly chemicals and leaves the concrete floor with the desired profile
- Is known for high production rates, blast pattern accuracy, and wide abrasive selection
- Lends itself to efficient disposal of dust and other contaminants
- Can be performed indoors and outdoors
