Scope Of Work
Brinker International, owner of restaurant chains Chili’s and Maggiano’s, aimed to consolidate its local business operations, upgrade their facilities and create a space that reflected the company’s bright future. Brinker hired Structure Tone Southwest to bring their vision to life within a new, 4-story, 214,000sf office building.
The renovations included building several facilities unique to the restaurant business, such as commercial-grade test kitchens, demonstration dining areas, labs, and a training center, as well as a fitness center, office space, meeting rooms, and a corporate boardroom. Outside, the new headquarters also features a private patio, cooking facilities, and an amphitheater.
The building itself is fairly standard, with no unique structural systems. However, given the specialized kitchen facilities, the project involved extensive MEP and exhaust systems. With no outside kitchen specialist on the project team, Structure Tone Southwest worked closely with Brinker experts and the engineering team to design, troubleshoot, and execute these complex systems.
In addition to those specialized kitchen facilities, the office also required specific data and electric infrastructure to accommodate Brinker’s IT and AV needs. The office’s large IT lab includes eight fully dedicated AC units and two MDF and IDF rooms were constructed to manage all data and low voltage systems for the building.
