Aaron Albright's Bio
Aaron oversees the firm’s marketing and business development efforts, promotional and branding activities, and client relations. He joined the Joe Funk team in 2013 as the Director of Client Relations after completing his graduate degree in environmental management at Texas Christian University. As a result of his innovative thinking and contributions to the company’s current success, he was recently promoted to Vice President. As a Colorado native, and prior to moving to Texas, Aaron spent six years with an environmental consulting and laboratory services firm in Colorado after receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006 in environmental studies at Eckerd College. He has achieved numerous certifications and technical skills in the medical, emergency response, and environmental/engineering field—specifically water related and erosion control. Aaron is a avid sports enthusiast and world traveler which is a past time he shares with his wife.
Glenn Sefton's Bio
Glenn is responsible for construction operations and the firm’s use of advanced technologies to enhance both the delivery of construction services and the customer’s experience. Sefton began his career at Joe Funk Construction in 1981, shortly before receiving a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Southern Methodist University. He joined the firm as a carpenter learning the construction business from the ground up starting as a superintendent and then advancing into other roles including estimator, assistant project manager, project manager, and more recently senior project manager and vice president. His 35 years of construction experience includes the management of over $100 million in K-12 construction in the past 10 years and numerous federal projects around the U.S.
Marshall Funk's Bio
Marshall is an integral part of the family business founded by his parents, Joe and Byrna Funk. In the early 1990’s he assumed full ownership and the role of President. Today as CEO Marshall is responsible for overseeing the firm’s strategic direction leaving the day-to-day management to other company leaders. A young boy when his father started the firm, Marshall grew up working on jobsites and learning the business literally from the ground up taking on a variety of roles and wearing many hats. A life-long Dallas resident, Marshall has diverse business interests in real estate, and marinas. He is CEO of Safe Harbor Marinas, the largest privately-held marina operator in the country. He is a licensed real estate broker and received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University. Marshall and his wife have three grown daughters who with their families also reside in Dallas.
Rusty Norris's Bio
With Joe Funk Construction for most of his professional career, Rusty is responsible for day-to-day management and company operations to insure it is in keeping with the firm’s strategic direction and commitment to quality work, safe jobsites and client focus. This is accomplished by his staying actively involved on every project and accessible to clients, subcontractors, and company employees. Rusty started at the firm in 1978 as a Field Engineer after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University. Over the following 20 years before assuming his current leadership role, he was involved with field management, project management, and estimating that led to various senior level positions at the firm. In 1999 Rusty was promoted to Vice President and later to Executive Vice President. Born in Mississippi, Rusty lived there until he was 10 years old at which time the family moved to Texas where he has since made his home. He is married with one son, one daughter and five Border Collies.
