David Gaboury's Bio
David Gaboury is President and CEO of Terracon and also serves as Chairman of the Board. David is a licensed professional engineer with more than 30 years of experience in environmental, geo-environmental and water resources engineering. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. David received a masters’ degree in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a graduate of Harvard Business School, Advanced Management Program. Prior to joining Terracon, he was with Woodward Clyde for 15 years, serving as COO and president of Woodward Clyde Consultants for the last five years.
David is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees for Olathe Medical Center, Inc. and Chairman of the Board of Olathe Medical Services, Inc. He serves on the Board of Directors of two firms - - Smith Seckman Reid, an engineering design firm headquartered in Nashville, TN and RS&H, an architectural, engineering and consulting firm headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. Previously, he served on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Olathe, Kansas Chamber of Commerce and Olathe Economic Development Council. He is past president of GBA/The Geoprofessional Business Association and a past member of ASCE’s Industry Leaders Council. He is a member of the Counsel of Fellows of GBA and participates in the CEO Conference Group, the Construction Industry Round Table (CIRT), the Incident and Injury-Free Executive Forum and ACEC’s Design Professionals Coalition.
In 2013, David was selected as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® award winner for the Central Midwest and as a national finalist.
Swaminathan (Vasan) Srinivasan's Bio
As part of its executive succession plan, Terracon is pleased to announce Swaminathan (Vasan) Srinivasan, P.E., is now president of Terracon Consultants, Inc.
Srinivasan assumes leadership of Terracon’s operating company, including the firm’s geographical operating groups, service lines, business sectors, and quality group, which provide professional services across the country.
He succeeds David Gaboury, P.E., who has served as president of Terracon since 1997. Gaboury continues as Terracon’s chairman and CEO. Under Gaboury’s direction, the company has created a legacy of safety, climbed 57 spots on Engineering-News Record’s Top 500 Design Firms list, and exceeded $600 million in revenues. Gaboury and Srinivasan will continue the executive transition throughout the year.

Since joining the firm in 2007 as part of Terracon’s acquisition of H.C. Nutting in Cincinnati, Srinivasan advanced from senior engineer to geotechnical engineering manager to division manager. His progression continued while serving as Western Operating Group manager and executive vice president. He has held a seat on the company’s board of directors since 2013, and recently served as Terracon’s chief operating officer.

Srinivasan is a licensed professional engineer with a master’s degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Among his accomplishments are leadership positions with the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Geoprofessional Business Association, and Deep Foundations Institute. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at Cincinnati State College, authored several technical papers, and delivered presentations on numerous geotechnical engineering topics.
