Scope Of Work

erracon is responsible for providing materials engineering and testing services for the recreational facility at Missouri Southern State University. The facility is a 65,000-square-foot addition to an existing student union that features basketball courts, an elevated jogging track, fitness studios, and locker rooms.

Construction of the recreation center consisted of slab-on-grade steel framed structure supported on a drilled pier foundation system, with masonry and brick veneer. Terracon’s construction materials testing services include monitoring and testing of soil, drilled-piers, cast-in-place concrete, masonry and structural steel. Terracon utilized our proprietary laboratory management system to successfully prepare and track all materials testing field reports, invoices and budgetary costs on a daily basis.
