John has over 25 years of transportation and traffic engineering experience, including road design, highway design, interchanges, intersection layout, roundabouts, trail design, signalization, street lighting, traffic control, capacity and level of service analyses, traffic impact studies, access management and planning studies. John is a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), and he has managed a variety of civil engineering projects requiring the combined talents and expertise of multiple tasks and disciplines.
WHAT IS A SURPRISING FACT THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I've been working since I was nine years old when my father started in the McDonald's restaurant business in 1969 with his first franchise. Could be that child labor laws were different back then for a "family" business. I was pulling down $1.75/hour. Best salary of any nine year old on the block!

I learned to ride a unicycle when I was 12 years old and can still get around a little bit on one.

Just about any of them. I'm a very sensitive guy...really.

Mike's project experience includes Global Positioning System (GPS) control and utility inventory surveys, photo mapping control, boundary surveys, development of topographic surveys, corridor mapping and survey for pipeline, road, railroad and power transmission line routes, construction surveys and cadastral surveys.
WHAT IS A SURPRISING FACT THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?
In a previous youthful life, I climbed Mt. McKinley (Alaska), Mt. Aconcagua (Argentina), all volcanoes in Washington and Oregon (including Mt. Rainier [three times] and Mt. St. Helens before she blew in '80), and nearly all of the "Fourteeners" in Colorado. Now we walk around the local park.

I am fairly handy around the house.
