Aaron Warford's Bio
Aaron has the qualifications, experience, motivation, and work ethic to effectively manage projects. He began his career in 1999, gaining experience in project management in both design and construction of county and MnDOT highways, complex intersections, roundabouts, and ADA compliant facilities. Aaron's experience managing projects requiring extensive federal, state, local, and multiagency coordination efforts offer a unique service to clients. His success is rooted in effective stakeholder involvement; he understands and appreciates that acceptance and approval for a project begins with those most affected and intimately connected. Aaron relates well to a broad spectrum of people, establishing trust through genuine and honest discussion. He places a high priority on maintaining effective communication with clients and project team members. Also a high priority... anything Golden Gophers. As an alum, Aaron is a tried-and-true Gopher fan.
Andrew Budde's Bio
Andrew started with Bolton & Menk right out of college in 2004 and is now a principal of the firm.. He has enjoyed learning from and working with a variety of people within and outside of the company. As a project manager and city engineer, Andrew manages projects from concept through construction ranging from MnDOT, county, and local roadways, roundabouts, city infrastructure, residential, commercial, and industrial development. He prides himself on finding efficiencies for his clients. He enjoys trying to make things better, whether its quicker, more accurate, less expensive, etc.
Barry Glienke's Bio
Barry grew up in Fairmont and has always been interested in building things. He joined the firm in 2000 and has delivered successful projects for both municipal and private clients. He fully embraces Bolton & Menk's approach to providing engineering services with an emphasis on frequent face-to-face communications with the client and stakeholders. He prides himself in delivering engineering services to meet the specific goals and expectations of his clients. As the Fargo Civil Work Group Leader, he is responsible for overall client satisfaction and project staffing, and commits the necessary resources to deliver projects on time and within budget. As a Wild and Gopher fan, you might see Barry frequenting ice arenas around the upper Midwest. However, his favorite hockey team is always any team his kids are playing for.
Bill Helget's Bio
Passionate about working with clients, Billy helps them identify needs, finds ways to address those needs, and creates projects with solutions. As Sleepy Eye Civil Work Group Leader, Billy maintains client contact, directs staff, works with various agencies, and provides overall direction for the study, design, and construction aspects of a project. He uses his expertise in hydraulics, hydrology, rural drainage, and municipal and rural highway design to help clients find sustainable solutions. Billy started working for Bolton & Menk as an intern in 1997, which turned into a full-time career and the opportunity to be an owner of the firm. After two decades with Bolton & Menk, his advice to others is, "Work hard, ask questions, learn from others, listen intently to your client's needs, and just have fun."
Bradley DeWolf's Bio
As President and CEO of Bolton & Menk, Brad prides the firm on its values that are still the same as they were in 1949. He says, "With our clients, you respect them and treat them well. Client service is always the number one goal." A registered professional engineer who started his career in 1991, Brad joined the firm in 1996, and was named President/CEO in 2012. He has experience in all phases of civil engineering from project design to construction administration. Brad specializes in managing large and complex multi-jurisdictional and multi-discipline projects. He brings an innovative approach and special skills to all projects for the coordination of diverse stakeholders and funding sources. He is also experienced in the financial processes related to capital improvements. Brad grew up in Minnesota and is a diehard sports fan. You might run into him at a Vikings or Wild game with his wife and family.
Brian Guldan's Bio
Brian is responsible for a broad range of environmental engineering projects including wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater lift stations, water treatment facilities, wells and well houses, and water booster stations. He began his career in 2004 and since that time has worked closely with clients from the early planning phases, through design and construction, and ultimately facility startup. Brian is devoted to long-lasting relationships with his clients through mutual trust and open communication. He enjoys talking to our clients about the issues surrounding their water and wastewater infrastructure and helping educate them on possible solutions. Outside of work Brian enjoys any activity that will keep him in the outdoors including hunting, fishing, and home improvement projects.
Brian Hilgardner's Bio
When it comes to clients, Brian takes time to get to know them on a deeper level, building trust in him and the Bolton & Menk team. Since beginning his career in 1998, he has gained a range of experience in project administration from conception through construction. His background as a Project Manager includes development and design of municipal reconstruction projects, with an expertise in trenchless technology techniques. Over the years, Brian has fostered strong relationships with both his clients and employees. He is passionate about mentoring and helping train young EIT's on proper construction observation skills and career development. When he's not helping employees develop their skills, Brian is perfecting his outdoorsman skills as a walleye fisherman and bow hunter.
Gregory Sindt's Bio
Greg's work to satisfy clients' environmental engineering issues has developed long-term friendships along the way. Greg is a Principal Environmental Engineer and Secretary on the Board of Directors. He has designed water and wastewater treatment processes and coordinated mechanical, structural, and control design activities since 1980. He has been involved in the planning and design of over 100 municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment facilities. Greg has been a member of several value engineering teams on water and wastewater treatment facilities throughout the United States. As a value engineering team member he evaluates options for upgrading existing treatment facilities and alternative facility and process designs using life cycle cost analysis. Greg also works on negotiations with regulatory agency staff in the application of environmental regulations to develop reasonable wastewater discharge permits. Greg is active in professional and trade organizations including Iowa Water Environment Association Government Affairs and North American Meat Institute Environmental Committee. When Greg isn't engineering, he enjoys fishing, farming, and Iowa State football and basketball.
Kreg Schmidt's Bio
Having the pleasure to work with both highly valued clients to meet their engineering needs as well as our talented and creative staff is what Kreg enjoys most about his work as Vice President, Metro Operations and Emerging Markets Leader. Beginning his career in 1988 as a registered engineer, Kreg's background includes evaluation, planning, design, and implementation of municipal engineering projects related to streets, sanitary sewer systems, water systems, stormwater systems, and residential, commercial, and industrial development. He has extensive experience working on multi-jurisdictional projects and is familiar with the funding and financing tools available to cities, including the State Aid process. When not working for communities, Kreg and his family can be found volunteering in them, truly enjoying helping to meet the needs of various groups and organizations.
Robert Brown's Bio
Bob enjoys exploring different technologies to help solve problems for his clients. In addition to client interaction, Bob also appreciates his involvement with Bolton & Menk staff. As the firm has grown from less than 50 employees when he started in 1983 to now over 500, he says, "The firm has kept a positive work environment as we've grown. I like having had the hands-on engineering experience to now mentoring younger engineers to develop and grow."
Bob is a Vice President and the Environmental Operations Leader. He is responsible for the management, administration, and quality control of all environmental projects performed by company staff. He has been the principal engineer for the planning, design, and construction management of a variety of municipal and industrial wastewater and water treatment facilities and associated work. Outside of work, Bob enjoys golf, reading, and traveling.

James Archer's Bio
Jim leads the development of structural engineering services for Bolton & Menk. He began his engineering career in 2001 and is responsible for planning and designing bridges and other structural infrastructure as well as business development activities and client service. He is committed to delivering projects that satisfy current and future needs in a practical, functional, and maintainable way. His knowledge and expertise in asset management gives him a unique understanding of the effects structural design has on project budgets and long-term maintenance activities. Outside of work, Jim can be found making structures of his own - learning new hobbies and working on his 60-acre farm.
John Shain's Bio
Born and raised in Mankato, John began his career with the firm in 1999 after graduating with a degree in professional geography. His passion for local government and computer science morphed into an interest and expertise in mapping and displaying data. Bolton & Menk was willing to take a chance with John, and embraced his ideas for GIS that were not yet widely practiced. Now Bolton & Menk is a premier GIS provider for municipalities in the Upper Midwest. As the leader of the GIS Work Group, John has managed a variety of GIS projects that include municipal implementations of GIS systems, public utility and infrastructure mapping, stormwater management, and web application development. John is a true Minnesotan, with hockey running through his blood. He not only enjoys watching and playing hockey, but is also a youth hockey coach for his young children.
