Scope Of Work

The 65-acre Cedar Grove area was distressed and in need of redevelopment to accommodate a highly attractive, game-changing retail development. Bolton & Menk provided civil engineering and coordination services for the redevelopment, which required reconfiguring the supporting roadways, moving a major gas main and an important fiber optic conduit, removing contaminated soils, expanding an existing stormwater pond to manage runoff from the retail development, and ensuring safe movement for pedestrians between a nearby transit center, local residences, and the new development. The Cedar Grove Redevelopment resulted in the opening of 100-store Twin Cities Premium Outlets. Coordination and collaboration with multiple entities was crucial to make this highly complex project a success.
